Bharat

Bharat is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh largest country by area and
with more than 1.3 billion people, it is the second most populous country and the most populous democracy in the world. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the southwest, and the Bay of Bengal on the southeast, it shares land borders with Pakistan to the west; China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the northeast; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. In the Indian Ocean, India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka and the Maldives. It is one of the founding members of the United Nations and non-aligned movements. It has gone through a significant number of wars since independence from Britain. It also fought a war with Portuguese to capture the city named as Goa which was not a part of Goa until 1961. Since 1991, India is growing rapidly and has been one of the fastest growing economies in the world. It is one of those few countries that have nuclear bombs and also done the tests of the same in 1974 and 1998.
